Fountain Hills Computer Services : Testimonial - Earned trust

    Author: administrator
Subject: Testimonial - Earned trust
Posted: June 16 2010 at 8:48am

Customer service is alive and well at Fountain Hills Computer Services.

We had a laptop down and needed someone to tell us what the problem was so I called a big name store and was told they’d check it out for $100 for hardware and $250 if it was a software problem.

My husband, a small business owner himself, said, “Let’s check with someone local,” so I got out the Fountain Hills Phone Directory. I reviewed the ads and found Fountain Hills Computer Services with the “BBB” so figured that would be a great first choice.

I called and Pat answered the phone with a friendly voice. As we talked she actually sounded like she might just “care” that I called.

Pat advises me to bring it and they could look at it today. She advises me that if they can’t fix it or figure it’s too expensive, they won’t charge me anything.

I hop in the car and in a few minutes I’m there meeting with friendly Pat. After she collects all the information she needs to have the laptop looked at, she tells me about a drawing the paper is having to bring awareness to have residents shop in Fountain Hills. She cuts out the ad in the paper and I fill out my name and phone number. I could use a free $100.

So, Jamie the owner and technician check it out and advise us what the problem is, but it’s expensive, so he won’t charge us anything just like Pat said. We pick it up along with their brochure plus some flyers about laptops they could sell us when we decide what we are going to do.

Customer service like it should be: friendly, personalized and caring. The other benefits to shopping in Fountain Hills are saving money, time and gas! Thanks Fountain Hills Computer Services! You have a new loyal customer who will refer business to you!

Brady family - June 16, 2010

I contacted Fountain Hills Computer Services and owner Jamie Hansen for the help I needed.

I found Jamie and his staff to be personable, professional, knowledgeable and, most of all, more than fair in their fees.

Again, knowing how tough it is to do business here, and for that matter in today’s difficult economic times, give these folks an opportunity to help you with any of your computer needs. You will see what I mean.

Michael D'Amato - April 7, 2010 - Fountain Hills Times

Edited by administrator - April 09 2010 at 9:13am

Fountain Hills Computer Services : Thank YOU for sending me SPAM

    Author: administrator
Subject: Thank YOU for sending me SPAM
Posted: August 23 2009 at 6:51am

It is estimated that Unsolicited Email (SPAM) costs American businesses $42 billion per year according to Ferris Research. Broken down, that's 85% in productivity losses, 10% in hiring guys like me to stop SPAM, and 5% in preventative software.

But why am I blaming you? Actually, I'm guilty too. As it turns out, The Mr. and Mrs. tax payer funded White House revealed that it hired a private communications firm to distribute unsolicited spam to help sell President Obama's health care plan.

It's bad enough that they have to "sell" this health care plan, but to use tax dollars to do so, and on the backs of private business?

For those of you who think this is not such a big deal, let me put this problem into perspective; I run an Email server for my clients. Using the Google SPAM calculator, it estimated that SPAM is costing the total of my Clients over $1,000 per year. If it wasn't for our anti-spam policy (which costs me thousands of dollars per year), the estimate would jump to over $100,000 per year and most likely, I would be out of business.

Fountain Hills Computer Services : Frequently Asked Questions

    Author: administrator
Subject: Frequently Asked Questions
Posted: August 07 2009 at 7:03am

Q: I've heard AVG is good enough to have. Why do you recommend Norton?
A: We regularly clean viruses off of computers that have an up-to-date AVG or McAfee installed. We have yet to clean off a virus on a computer with an up-to-date Norton. Norton Antivirus is consistently rated one of the best in the industry by independent research studies.

Q: I've heard so many bad things about Vista, Have they fixed it yet?
A: Vista was never broken. From our studies, since day 1, Vista scored much better than XP in all 3 categories; speed, security, & reliability.

Q: Should I upgrade to Windows 7?
A: Based solely on independent reviews, if your computer is running fine and you don't have the need for touch screen capabilities, then you probably should not upgrade. In almost all of the reviews we read, Windows 7 seemed faster than Vista however, most either didn't like or didn't care about the new features.

Q: What is better, MAC or a PC?
A: There's advantages and disadvantages for each however, one thing that is consistent among our customers is that those who switch from PC to MAC and vice versa, either complain about it or end up going back to what they had before.

Edited by administrator - August 11 2009 at 4:00pm
