Software to avoid based on years of experience:
- Spybot search and destroy: of all the antivirus software, this one ranks in research "dead last" according to CNET.
- Webroot Spy Sweeper: No active scanning and often causes conflicts with other software.
- AVG free version: Interesting to see so many people who hire us to clean up viruses have this software on their system. Obviously it didn't work.
